About Me

3456395E-4EAD-4F99-AD5A-00C04F607413.jpeg

My practice is informed by the biopsychosocial model, which considers biological, psychological, and social factors that influence client concerns.

I use evidence-based therapeutic modalities and I have extensive experience in supporting men, teens, parents, and clients experiencing ADHD, disordered eating, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, life transitions, and relationship challenges.

I aim to empower clients to reach their goals while providing a safe, supportive space to explore their thoughts and emotions.

I completed my Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University and my B.A in Psychology at Trent University. Since graduating I have completed additional training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Family Based Therapy (FBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Trauma-focused CBT, and Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT).

I have completed specialized training in the following empirically supported modalities:

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT): Including advanced training in Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT).

Family-Based Therapy (FBT) and Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT): Specialized approaches for treating eating disorders and family distress.

Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT): Supports emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness.

Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP): A gold-standard treatment for obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and anxiety-related concerns.

Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT): A goal-oriented approach that emphasizes strengths, resources, and practical solutions.
